About Us

Dr. Asma Sultan Al Olama, President,
Emirates Society of Haematology

On behalf of the Emirates Society of Haematology (ESH), I would like to invite you to the Third Emirates Haematology Conference (EHC), which will be held in Dubai during March 7-9, 2013.

This year, for the first time, we have on board an advisory committee whose members are world experts in the field of haematology. As ESH President I am delighted to announce the new scientific activities that will be be introduced in the Third EHC.

In EHC2013 we will be introducing the Haematopathology Workshop and the Transfusion Medicine Workshop, this is in addition to the already established nursing workshop. The laboratory medicine workshops are meant to expand the scope of the conference to further include both clinical Haematology and Haematopathology in all of its aspects. In addition, there will be one more innovation; the oral poster presentation from selected abstracts. The oral presentations and poster sessions, compiled from the submitted abstracts, offer the opportunity for investigators, particularly the younger researchers, to present their work.

For EHC2013, the ESH has initiated the process of obtaining the endorsement of some of the most prestigious International societies related to the field of Haematology. This is reflected by the endorsement of the International Society on Thrombosis & Haemostasis (ISTH), which will be covering a full session on Haemostasis & Thrombosis. This is in addition to collaboration with the European Haematology Association (EHA) that will be providing category 1 Continuous Medical Education (CME) hours for the EHC2013 conference.

We are fortunate to have an outstanding group of high profile speakers covering a range of exciting topics in both benign & malignant hematology. The topics that will be covered in this conference will include Thrombosis, Haemostasis, Haemoglobinoapthies, Transfusion Medicine, Acute & Chronic Leukemias, MDS, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, Lymphoma, Myeloma and many more.

Registration and abstract submission are now open on-line and we encourage researchers to submit their abstracts to become a part of the EHC2013 program.

We look forward to seeing you in the beautiful city of Dubai in March 2013.

Best Regards,
